[Fightcade]How to play metal slug 6 and kofxi with good frame at flycast?

[Intro]

Recently, i've written a instruction of NullDC to play atomiswave games at netplay. But I know, it is too complicate to play(we have to use virtual controller setting). But fightcade dev team decided to change from NullDC to flycast, the latest emulator of sega atomiswave and naomi. thanks to fightcade dev team, now we will be able to play atomiswave games like metal slug 6 with very easier than Nulldc.

[Preparation]

1. Flycast emulator which exist in fightcade(flycast dojo)

2. games - i will make example with kofxi and metal slug 6. surprisingly, flycast support DEMUL's rom. but for prevent desync with your partner, i will recommend that using official romset of flycast.

3. flycast bios - To play kofxi and metal slug 6, we have to get naomi bios and atomiswave bios. Demul's bios cannot support so let's use with fightcade rom manager script.

[Location of Files]

Check downloading files. roms and bios.

bios -> go to data, roms -> go to roms.

[Emulator Settings]

here is two files of cfg. emu.cfg and emu.default.cfg.

1. Delete emu.cfg.

2. copy emu.default.cfg

3. rename emu.default.cfg to cmu.cfg

[Keyboard Settings]

First, execute fcadeflycast.exe.

If you able to see your games, you have no problem.

If your screen appear this message, that means netplay feature ON states.

goi to settings, move to netplay and uncheck enable netplay, press done.

go to settings.

you don't have to touch it, just go to control and press map at physical devices -> keyboard -> port A

check [arcade button names], then you will be able to see more easier button. go ahead. metal slug 6 and kof xi's keysetting is

button 1 : Gun / weak punch

button 2 : Jump / weak kick

button 3 : bomb / strong punch

button 4 : special / strong kick

button 5 : weapon change / special

press done when you are ready.
